Several efforts have been made by the plaintiffs to reactivate the investigation into the mysterious death of former AMIA special prosecutor Alberto Nisman while prosecutor Viviana Fein focused the probe on the theory that her colleague committed suicide or was coerced to kill himself.
Days after her ex-husband was found dead of a gunshot to the head, San Isidro Federal Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado sought to push forward a case that was in the hands of her colleague Luis Rodríguez at the Comodoro Py courthouse. Rodríguez was investigating a series of threats received by Nisman and his ex-wife between 2012 and 2013.
